Before us we have a challenging and exciting season. From spirituals, to a triumphant Handel oratorio, to premiering two works including a international collaboration in honor of Leonardo da Vinci, this is a season you won’t want to miss.
Band of Angels: Sept. 16, 2018
This piece was composed for the 50th anniversary of the bombing of Sixteenth St. Baptist Church; the bombing that took the lives of Addie Mae Collins, Denise McNair, Cynthia Wesley, and Carol Robertson. This work is a compilation of spirituals and gospel songs and scripture.

To honor the legacy of the quintessential Renaissance man, Jocelyn Hagen announces a new work for chorus, orchestra and film projections. The work brings to life pages from da Vinci’s famous notebooks, using his words for the libretto and animating both the texts and illustrations in a beautifully expressive visual dance.
